Overview of Position: The candidate will be responsible for the key role of negotiation and liquidation of commercial and industrial (C&I) loans and commercial real estate (CRE) loans. Issues will run the spectrum from simple follow ups through unfriendly liquidations. This is a mid-level officer position in a community bank. The successful candidate must possession excellent analytical skills, understanding of key financial concepts, and excellent oral and written communication abilities. Will be expected to interact with senior lending staff and executive bank management; as well as remain informed about legal, regulatory and market-risk developments. Duties: 1. Negotiate with assigned customers to establish a re-payment plan that may include liquidation of collateral and/or the business itself. Negotiations may include both friendly and unfriendly situations. 2. Interact with various legal counsel to solidify collateral position and file judgments where necessary to secure the Bank’s position. 3. Will report to senior management and the Board of Directors concise and up to date progress of each account. 4. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in business related field from an accredited institution. Accounting and finance course work is preferable. 2. Five plus years of commercial lending and/or portfolio management experience with hands-on customer management experience preferably in a workout capacity. 3. Ability to plan projects and work within deadlines 4. Attention to detail 5. Ability to work with others from across functional lines 6. Ability to communicate clearly both orally and via the written word. 7. Knowledge of and basic competency in MS Office Applications (primarily Word and Excel) American Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
